Privacy Policy
The Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center (ADRC) respects your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect on adrccares.org, how we use it and the choices you have.

The short version
- We collect only what you choose to share with us, plus basic website usage data.
- We use it to answer you, provide our free services and keep you informed if you ask us to.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time by emailing info@adrccares.org.
What information do our forms collect?
We only collect information you type into a form. Here's what each form asks for:
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), who you are (for example, a caregiver or a professional), the topic and your message.
- Music Box request forms (English and Spanish): your name, email, phone and mailing address, the first name of the person you care for, your relationship to them, and their music preferences. We use this to put together and send your Music Box. See the Harmony in Care Music Box Initiative page.
- Newsletter sign-up: your name and email address, so we can send you our quarterly newsletter.
- Volunteer sign-up: your name, contact details, interests and availability.
Form messages are sent to our team at info@adrccares.org. Only ADRC staff who need the information to help you can see it.
Please don't share detailed medical information in a web form. If you need to talk about a health situation, call us at (407) 436-7750.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Answer your questions and provide services such as Care Navigation, support groups and the Harmony in Care Music Box Initiative.
- Send the newsletter or updates you asked for.
- Thank donors and volunteers and keep records required for a nonprofit.
- Understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
We share information only with service providers that help us run our website and programs, when you ask us to (for example, a referral), or when the law requires it.
Donations are processed by Givebutter
When you donate, your payment is handled by Givebutter, our secure online fundraising platform. ADRC does not see or store your full card or bank details.
Givebutter collects and uses your information under its own privacy policy. Please read the Givebutter privacy policy for details.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use them to make the site work and, if you agree, to understand how visitors use it.
- Cookie banner: when you first visit, a banner asks for your consent. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and change your choice later.
- Google Analytics: if enabled, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us. It reports in summary and doesn't tell us who you are. Learn more about how Google uses data.
- Embedded content: some pages show videos, podcasts or donation forms from other services (such as YouTube, Buzzsprout or Givebutter). Those services may set their own cookies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Email and text message consent
We only send you emails or text messages if you give us permission, for example by signing up for our newsletter or checking a consent box on a form.
- Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.
- If you agree to receive text messages, you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.
- We never sell or share your phone number or email address for anyone else's marketing.
How to update or delete your information
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@adrccares.org or call (407) 436-7750, and tell us what you'd like us to do.
We'll respond as soon as we can. We may need to keep some records, such as donation receipts, when the law requires it.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards, such as secure (HTTPS) connections and limited staff access, to protect your information. No website is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@adrccares.org and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other organizations, such as government agencies and community partners. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Please check back now and then.
